ABOUT ME
An ADVOCATE, BUSINESS OWNER, & REFORMER

MY ROOTS & WASHINGTON
Growing up, Washington was a beacon; a place where the people and things that could improve my community all existed under one roof. Raised by my grandmother (Graciela) in a small two-bedroom home on SNAP and disability benefits, we didn't have much, but one thing we did have was love for the neighborhood around us. That love, partnered with my grandmother's relentless compassion and perseverance, made me into the man I am today, and sent me on an irrevocable journey to the steps of this city, this place where those who seek change, come to make it.
A LIFETIME WORKING for a BETTER COMMUNITY
From advocating in the halls of Congress, to running my own small business, and from working the line at a McDonald's to scrubbing floors, I know what it means to work, what it means to fight for people, and what it means to build something from the ground up.
I also know what it means to struggle, to persevere, to thrive, and to overcome.
This is the reality I want to deliver for D.C.
A community in which, together, we move forward, build better, and through our ingenuity and unique talents, build a city we, and future generations, can be proud of, and succeed in.
This American Dream, uniquely possible in Washington, is ours to realize, and I look forward to building it with every Washingtonian.
MY PROMISE
To the PEOPLE of WASHINGTON
My promise to every Washingtonian, is this; I will never put my beliefs, convictions, priorities, or preferences above yours. In all things, as your Shadow Representative, I will fight every day to further the causes you express are your concern, and garner what those are by being consistently, openly, and readily; approachable, engaged, present, and involved, with your communities.
Washington is your city, these are your streets, your schools, your roads, your bridges, your homes, your lives, and your futures, your opinions and your needs, are the only ones that matter, and I will work tirelessly to assure that your voice is not only heard in the halls of Congress, City Hall, and elsewhere, but also heeded.
This is your D.C, let's build it together.
